2006 Surf School Events to be announced after 1st of May.
The GTA summer surf camp is located anywhere from the shores of Lake Ontario to the private beaches of Lake Erie conditions permitting. I work with students of all ages. Most of my students are adult’s, the remainder are ages 8 to 24 years old. The goal of the school is to see that you have a great time while learning the "sport of Hawaiian Kings". During the class, I strive to give you the basics you will need to become a surfer. My school program has been developed and tested with proven success.
Enjoy the adventures of learning to surf without having to travel to the ocean. Un-crowded beaches and line ups are all part of the benefits of lake surfing. You will be given plenty of room to breathe and hone your skill with out any hassles’ from the “locals”. The schools classes are offered to vacationers and residents of all ages. Come by yourself or bring a friend and enjoy lots of fun in the sun. My day camp is great because you can come for an hour and a half of training and then free surf afterwards with experienced and friendly surfers. This is a life sharing experience for me and an adventure you will never forget!
Unlike other schools, GTA Surf School is located right on the beach. Our beaches are not crowded and there are no surf restrictions. There is no need to leave the area, making for a much safer and relaxing experience. Friends and loved ones are welcome to come watch, take photos, or join in the fun themselves when enroll in the program.
People find out early on that surfing is not as easy as it looks. It's unlike any other sport. Just a 1.5 hr. class will greatly increase your ability to surf. Remember friends are not always the best people to teach you. My emphasis is on safety and fun. I have four years experience teaching through a camp located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Proper instruction accelerates the learning curve.
Being sure that you have the right equipment for you is important. One of the biggest problems new surfers have is purchasing the wrong equipment due to bad advice or improper instruction from other businesses that employ unknowledgeable people. I will set you up with the right equipment and instruction for your size and ability. I want you to succeed in your quest to catch the perfect wave.
